About the University of Worcester
The university has been ranked in the top 3 in the UK for quality education in all three years – 2019,20 and 2021 – of the Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings, which assess how well universities across the world achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The university was also the No. 1 university in England for gender equality in all three years of the ranking.
In the 2019 People and Planet University League, the University received “First Class Honors” – an achievement it has held for over 10 years. The university remains in the top five most sustainable universities in the country, out of the 154 universities in the UK that were noted in the 2019 table.

In the 2020 National Student Survey, 85% of final year students at Worcester said they were satisfied overall, above the national average of 83.2% and placing the University among the best universities in the Midlands. Fourteen courses in Worcester received 100% satisfaction.

UW has 1 of the best graduate employment records in the country. In the government-published Longitudinal Survey of Educational Achievement (2017 and 2020), Worcester was ranked in the top 10 for sustained employment with or without further study, one, two and three years after graduation. 94.6% of Worcester graduates are in work or further education 15 months after graduation (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2020).

High Quality Teaching
In the first-ever National Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), Worcester was rated Silver, with evaluators saying Worcester “delivers high quality teaching, learning and outcomes for its students” and “consistently exceeds stringent national quality requirements for UK higher education”.
We were ranked 20th for student experience and 23rd for teaching quality in the Times Good University Guide 2022.
The TEF panel noted that we excel in teaching that encourages high levels of student engagement and commitment to learning and study. Including “excellent levels” of contact time and programs that engage students in the process of improving their own learning experience.
